Dr. Emen received her B.A. from CUNY/Brooklyn College, New York in 1997. During her junior year, she was experiencing low back pain that was gradually worsening. Unhappy and dissatisfied with the medical care that she received, upon the advice of her sister, she decided to seek chiropractic treatment. Within two weeks, her back pain completely resolved. Amazed at her body's ability to heal itself with chiropractic guiding the way, Dr. Emen decided to become a chiropractic physician instead of a medical doctor, as was her initial plan. After graduation, she attended Los Angeles Chiropractic College, now called Southern California University of Health Sciences, in Whittier, California, where she completed her studies in 2001. Upon passing the state board exam and getting her license, she then went on to work with various chiropractors, acupuncturists, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, psychologists, neurosurgeons, and physical therapists. She spent the next 10 years broadening her clinical experience and attended many seminars to further expand her abilities to heal effectively via chiropractic.

Today, Dr. Emen is focusing on educating the community about the wonderful benefits of chiropractic and wellness care. She is currently working on a variety of different projects involving Advanced Spine & Sport Chiropractic, so stay tuned and check our website periodically for upcoming events and newsletters.
